Tents 2 Haiti Update

posted Mar 9, 2010, 5:40 PM by JR Pierce   [ updated Apr 13, 2010, 12:02 PM ]
The ongoing Tents2Haiti.org project continues as concerned Americans continue to provide tents to the victims of Haiti's January 12 7.0 earthquake that left hundreds of thousands dead and about one million newly homeless.

Joshua and Danielle Pierce delivered a truck full of tents to Charlotte, NC this weekend. Their journey began in Horseheads at the Love Aflame! Worldwide headquarters. The tents were delivered Tuesday, April 13th to Morningstar Ministries where they were loaded onto pallets and then into a shipping container. The tents will arrive in Haiti in a couple of weeks. From there they will be picked up by are pastors and distributed to needy families.

The staff at WLNL wishes to thank everyone who contributed to this effort. Because of your love and generosity, many Haitian adults, children and babies will remain dry and in some level of relative comfort (especially compared to those who have not received any help with shelter).
